Leesa Chandler, who
told us about the ups and downs of designing fabric and how
this has changed her life. Leesa showed us a number of the quilts and
items she makes to showcase beautiful fabrics. She generously donated one
of these quilts for us to use to raise funds as part of the work we do for
charity - thank you Leesa!
Our Shops with such enticing goodies to tempt our purse strings - Chandler's Cottage, Beaumaris; The Patchwork Teahouse, Warburton; Can Do Books, Hawthorn; Dot & Lyn's Bits & Bobs, Bacchus Marsh.
We all rolled in promptly at 9.30 am (minus an hour of sleep as it was changeover day to Daylight Savings)
We ALL were happy to use Leesa's generous Kits. It seems we are RED girls at heart as only 2 chose the purple colourway, and 1 rebel chose a completely different fabric - go Yvonne!
By lunchtime the bag construction was under control.

3D flowers for the front flap.

and you packed up and cleaned up when the party was over.
A special vote of thanks to our menfolk who came along to help with handling the heavy trestles & big tables.
We might have had sore feet Saturday night, but knowing it had been a successful day made it worthwhile.
